Alexander Nevsky Church

Alexander Nevsky church in Chelyabinsk was created in 1907-1911 in memory of tsar Alexander II killed by members of the "Narodnaya Volya" on March 1st, 1881.

The church is built of red bricks just as a lot of works of Russian architecture. It is in the shape of a cross if seen from above and is very picturesque. The church has 13 gilded steeples crowned with orthodox crosses.
